We landed at Imam Khomeini airport at 4:30am, were picked up by family and brought to Tehran. The drive in from the airport to Tehran is still quite long and there are little options aside from a taxi, count 2hrs in the car on the highway into Tehran coming in from the south. The south of Tehran is known for not being as good as the north in terms of quality of life and kinds of people living there.

During my experience as a traveler, I couldn’t stop asking myself “why?”. It doesn’t seem logical that we isolate an entire country, especially one that holds such wealth in culture, history, world influence in terms of linguistics, archaeology etc… in the end, with great wisdom, I come to find; it’s just the way the cookie crumbles.
